Hi all,

Our good friend Jesse is helping to raise some money for a friend he met in Nicaragua. Jesse has spend years traveling to Nica and working for social justice on trade issues for Central America.

This kid in Nica named Hiro is in need of a surfboard and Jesse has spent hours creating a flawless picture frame from reclaimed Redwood with an amazing shot (also by Jesse) of a guy at Pipeline in Hawaii.

He’s selling raffle tickets for $5 each to help raise the funds for Hiro’s surfboard. Winner of the raffle gets this beautifully framed photo.

I’ve watched Jesse learn woodworking over the past year and develop his photography skills. It’s an honor to showcase his work and support his cause.

To enter and support this fundraising effort, please e-mail jc_swan@hotmail.com the number of entries you’ll buy, and either send me a check (12220 Calle real, Goleta ca 93117) or visit PayPal, click send money and enter nmarston2003@yahoo.com in the “to” box to pay Natasha for your entries.

Good luck!

Hi all:

I wanted to make sure you saw my lovely wife’s latest creations: Terra Malia Designs.

Terra Malia Designs is one of our featured artists under the LoaTree.

Terra’s an amazing woman, mother and wife. She’s pregnant with our second child and full time mothering our 2 year old daughter Talia. She’s an avid tennis player, could teach Wolfgang Puck a thing or two about culinary delights and is simply a force of nature. In her ‘free’ time (usually around 10pm), she’ll get comfortable on the couch and spend a couple of hours making gorgeous jewelry.

Her jewelry is very much a reflection of who she is…bold, beautiful, sexy and confident as anyone you’ll meet. She offers custom and bridal work as well.

If you are interested in any of her work, send a note to roots@loatree.com.
